    AACI Poetry Contest 2022

    Este es un proyecto que está abierto a colegios primarios, colegios secundarios e institutos de inglés de todo el país con el objetivo de compartir experiencias, intentando promover las capacidades poéticas de los participantes para que inscriban su propia cultura, estimulando el uso del inglés de manera natural y significativa.

    En esta primera etapa, invitamos a los docentes de inglés de todo el país a inscribirse para poder formar parte de las capacitaciones gratuitas dictadas por reconocidos exponentes, los cuales van a aportar herramientas y distintas técnicas para abordar la poesía en la clase de inglés (ver fechas y expositores más abajo).

    El siguiente paso será poner manos a la obra con sus alumnos para juntos pensar, diseñar y escribir sus poemas en clase. El envío de las poesías estará habilitado hasta el 10 de octubre en la plataforma del concurso, cuyo acceso se podrá encontrar en esta misma página a partir del 1 de septiembre.

    Cada institución (ya sea colegio primario, secundario o instituto de inglés) podrá presentar sólo 1 (un) trabajo por categoría, de manera que deberá hacer una preselección internamente.

    Las poesías ganadoras se anunciarán a principios de noviembre, así como la fecha de entrega de los premios. Se premiará tanto a los alumnos como a sus docentes. En breve subiremos en este sitio el jurado de excelencia convocado para este concurso.

     

    FECHAS DE LAS CAPACITACIONES

    6 de Agosto, 10 hs.: Cecilia Pena Koessler

    Teacher of English at Primary and at Secondary levels with a postgraduate course in Medieval and Renaissance Literature at  I.E.S en Lenguas Vivas «J. R. Fernández». MA in Literary Linguistics (University of Nottingham). Master’s student in Medieval Studies (UBA). She teaches literature and Children’s and  YA’s Literature at J.V. González and J. R. Fernández Teacher Training Colleges and at secondary schools .She has co-authored 9 EFL books for Pearson and has designed EFL material for Macmillan.

    11 de Agosto, 18 hs.: Constanza Adduci y Gilda Carruba

    Constanza Belén Adduci is an English teacher graduated from I.E.S en Lenguas Vivas «Juan Ramon Fernandez» and has post graduate courses in English History, English Literature, and in the methodology and didactics of Social Sciences. She teaches English History at I.S.P «Joaquin V. Gonzalez», English History and Postcolonial Literature at Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina. She teaches young learners at Asociación Argentina de Cultura Inglesa and she also teaches English literature at secondary schools, where she coordinates the Literature department. At the moment, she is doing her Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies.

    Gilda Carruba is a graduate teacher from Presbítero Antonio María Sáenz.  She holds a post graduate degree in Literature from Universidad del Litoral and has completed the BC certificate in E-tutoring. She has participated in the “Ceibal en Inglés” programme – both as a teacher and trainer. She is also a pedagogic coordinator at the Asociación Argentina de Cultura Inglesa. At the moment, she is doing her Master’s Degree in “Educación Innovadora”.

     

    18 de Agosto, 19 hs.: Griselda Beacon

    Griselda Beacon is a teacher educator and a literature lover. She delivers teacher training workshops, courses and talks on literature and teaching of other languages in international contexts. Griselda holds an MA in English & American Literature and German as a Foreign Language from Philipps-Universität Marburg, Germany. She has been working in the field of teacher education and Primary curriculum development for over 20 years. She is a co-author of Together (Oxford UP, 2019), a tailor-made English coursebook series for Argentina, and co-editor of the book International Perspectives on Diversity in ELT (Palgrave, 2021). Her special interests include literature, young learners, creativity, CLIL and intercultural education. Passionate about Children’s and Young Adult literature, Griselda loves visiting schools to share literature with all learners with a creative twist, and carries out projects with literature and art to foster creativity, play, drama, diversity and inclusion in the English classroom.

     

    20 de Agosto, 10 hs.: Claudia Ferradas

    Claudia Ferradas graduated as a teacher of English at the IES en Lenguas Vivas “Juan Ramón Fernández”, Buenos Aires, where she taught language and literature for many years and was also Academic Secretary. She holds an MA in Education and Professional Development from the University of East Anglia and a PhD in English Studies from the University of Nottingham. She has worked as a teacher educator in more than 20 countries and has co-chaired the Oxford Conference on the Teaching of Literature (Corpus Christi College) on five occasions. Claudia has published two bilingual poetry collections, and her poetry has also been published in several anthologies in Argentina, Puerto Rico, Spain and the UK.
